Leonardo Madio
My research focuses on digital economics, industrial organization,
competition policy, and regulation, with particular attention to
platforms, innovation, privacy, and digital markets.
Before joining Padua, I held research positions at Toulouse School
of Economics, Universite Catholique de Louvain, and the University
of York, where I completed my PhD in Economics in 2019. Since 2023,
I have also been Visiting Associate Professor at Toulouse School of
Economics.
I have presented work at institutions including UK OFCOM, the UK
Competition and Markets Authority, and the Belgium Competition
Authority, and I worked as economic expert for the European
Commission / JRC. I also hold the Italian National Habilitation for
Full Professor in ECON-01 / Economia Politica.
